Product titles, descriptions and codes will be scanned and all products containing any part of the string will be displayed. The most relevant products will always appear at the top. See the following example.

Typing the search criterea as 'red pen', a dataset containing the following results will appear in the following order.

1. red red pen         (all words are matched and 'red' has multiple occurrences)
2. red pen               (all words are matched)
3. red red                ('red' has multiple occurences)
4. red                      ('red' has single occurrence)
5. redder pencil       (both 'red' and 'pen' occur, but only as part-words)
6. redder                 ('red' occurs as a part-word)
7. suspension file     ('pen' is pattern matched within a word)

Trivial words such as 'the' and 'a' are automatically excluded as they appear in so many records.

2) For 'Find Your Nearest Supplier', type either a postcode, town or county into the input box and click on 'locate'. Alternatively, click on any active area of the map.

The search result will list all suppliers who are able to take your order electronically and deliver to the selected region. The list is ordered by the distance of each supplier from the selected region, nearest first. Clicking on a letter in the A:Z range will provide you with any suppliers whose name begins with that letter

The supplier search will allow you to list the results in three different ways, 'All', 'National' and 'Local'. The default for a search is 'Local' but if there are no suppliers in your local area then you will be automatically presented with the national list. Some of the local suppliers may have a maximum delivery radius and we advise you to contact them directly for further details. A national delivery service is available from all suppliers that are marked with an asterisk. These suppliers are able to deliver to any region in the UK and therefore they will always appear on either the 'All' or 'National' lists.
